Digital Project Manager


We are seeking a motivated and resourceful Digital Project Manager. The successful applicant will lead web projects for the Middle Seat Web Development team – working directly with clients to meet their goals on digital projects – landing on-budget and on-time. Applicants must have knowledge of agency work, content strategy, UI design and/or web development, excellent communication skills, good visual instincts, an eagerness to learn, and an independent work ethic.

Job Responsibilities

  • Provide support on digital projects, start to finish, including:
    • Lead project kick-offs both internally and with client teams, as well as project retrospectives to inform process improvement opportunities
    • Facilitate project check-ins with clients and cross-functional internal teams and document outcomes
    • Be the internal expert on each client you work with, conducting research to deeply familiarize yourself on their organizational goals and identity
    • Work closely with our designers and developers to help craft creative strategies and solutions for our clients’ needs
    • Organize and provide regular updates and communications with project teams
    • Provide administrative support across a suite of tools on projects (Asana, Google Drive, Invision, Figma, Slack, 1Password)
    • Work closely with our product team to document decision-making and ensure Middle Seat processes are upheld
    • Assist product team with quality assurance and testing of deliverables
  • Assist in cultivating client relationships
    • Lead on setting up new client accounts
    • Assist in client research and documentation to facilitate strong client relationships
    • Build trust with Middle Seat clients; identify and execute strategies to maintain and grow our client relationships
    • Triage client questions to maximize efficiency
  • Digital content strategy
    • Produce content checklists for client projects
    • Where needed, and alongside other members of the team, manage and/or execute content production, and/or manage content entry and proofreading
    • Assist with client trainings
  • Project efficiency and business development
    • Identify ways to improve our existing tools and processes to increase efficiency
    • Develop and maintain systems for evaluating team capacity 
    • In collaboration with team members, create and manage scopes, timelines, and budgets, including researching for and writing proposals
    • Identify upsell opportunities with existing clients
  • Additional responsibilities
    • Assist in executing special projects as needed 
    • Execute screening interviews as needed


  • Experience in relevant industry across campaign or non-profit industries or in agency setting
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, with demonstrated ability to proactively communicate with a wide range of audiences
  • Demonstrated ability to balance multiple projects and deadlines at once
  • Demonstrated ability cultivating relationships with clients and team members
  • Patient and able to remain calm when problems arise
  • Experience working with a wide range of digital technologies: Content Management Systems (CMSs), CRMs, digital analytics tools
  • Strong time management and boundary setting, along with close attention to detail
  • Entrepreneurial spirit in identifying areas for improvement and a plan for execution
  • Passion for progressive causes and organizations

Salary and Benefits

  • Salary starts between $56,000 and $65,000
